Krug's Tavern is located in the heart of Newark's Historical IronBound Section. We have been Family owned and Operated by the LaMotta family since 1932! We serve fresh homemade fare that is both, well priced and delicious. Our hearty or "Oversized" sandwiches as some may call are made with only the choicest meats. All of our breads are freshly baked and made for us under strict standards. Krug's Tavern creates uniquely satisfying Seafood plates that are topped with our unique homemade and secret family sauce. And of course, we can't forget to mention our famous Krug's Burgers (A local favorite).
Krug's Tavern is located at 118 Wilson Avenue, Newark, NJ 07105 in the heart of the Ironbound Section. Only a few minutes away from Newark's Penn Station and also very close to the Prudential Arena and The Red Bull Stadium in Harrison NJ.
From the NJ Turnpike & I-78:
Take exit 14 on the Turnpike or Last exit before the Tolls on I-78 East and follow US HWY 1&9 North to the Delancey St. exit, Make left on Delancey and a quick right on Stockton St. follow that to the next traffic light and make a left on Wilson Ave.
From Route 21 turn East into Lafayette St. follow it until it ends on Wilson Ave. About 2.5 miles or so bear right at the trafic light and we are on your right on the corner of Napoleon St.
From Newark's Penn Station head east on Ferry St. Until you reach the Intersection with a big church (the one that blows up on the movie "War of the Worlds") we call it "Five corners" bear right for aprox. a mile and look for us on the right.
Parking is located at the rear around the corner of Napoleon Street.
