Driving home, my phone kept prompting me of new messages from Megan.
"I'm sorry"
"Please talk to me"
"Hello, Jake"
"I need to talk to you, to explain"
"Please don't hate me, I know what I did was wrong"
"I need to talk to you"
"Don't hate me, please"
"Call me"
All about 10 seconds apart. One thing I learned, let them rant when they are texting like crazy, as you will never get a word in edgewise.

Inbetween, I got a new text from an ole' friend, we were casual in the past, and even though I wanted more of a relationship, she wanted to be nothing more than friends, with a casual fling.
"Hi" was the message. My heart raced fiercely. Our paths crossed several times, and I wasn't sure if I was ready for them to cross again, after last time, I hurt alot. I thought it was over and buried by now, but obviously, it's never over, it's never finished business, always unfinished.
"Hey V, how r u?" I responded.
"Talk?, are you alone?", she said
"Kinda getting ready to pack for Vegas, can I call you in a bit?"
"KK", she responded.
I knew something had to be wrong, she never texts me unless she is lonely or wants to talk. Sighhh.
Packing quickly for my short trip, my short stay in Vegas looks like I'll have to deal with drama already back home. I did like Megan, alot. I felt bad about leaving her, but I didn't appreciate being lied to or mislead. But, I did leave out the fact that I was a new erotica author, maybe, give her a 2nd chance? and what do I do about my ole' friend. I'll have to open up to Megan a bit more, make sure she know everything about me, and let her know I cannot commit to any relationship right now.
"Megan, I am upset, but I understand why you did what you did, I've been there before, afraid of the truth", I'll call you when I am at the gate, as I'll probably have 30 minutes or so to kill, OK?", I texted her
"OMG, thank you Sir xo", she replied.

ReplyDeleteI really want to listen to the rest before I comment, but it looks like Jake is about to get in trouble in Vegas. Maybe Jake and Megan need to rethink their relationship. Either way I'm intrigued.

ReplyDeleteBe careful when you see Megan, I have found out in the past when someone lies once they will think they can get away with it again. Be careful Sir with your heart. It can only take being broken so many times before it crumbles. *sighs
